Every year MDOC (Manchester and District Orienteering Club) arrange a series of night street orienteering sessions. The series is 8 events starting in November through to February.
Today the session is in Knutsford - final details are available on the MDOC website at www.mdoc.org.uk. The meet starts at 6.00pm for registration and running from 6.30pm. Courses are 45 mins, 60 mins or 75 mins. There is food etc afterwards. There will be a session in Macclesfield on 4th February 2014.
More information can be found at www.mdoc.org.uk
A few people did it last year and really enjoyed it - it can be done in pairs or even threes - road shoes and a head-torch are needed.
I suggest car sharing.
Neil (looking for a running partner).
A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers E Group informed about our past and future runs. We tend to run at a pace of 10 - 12 min/mile for about 4-5 miles. If you are interested in joining the group please contact group leaders Wendy Boardman (wendyboardman77@googlemail.com) or Jenny Airey (jenfa23@gmail.com) Ideally new members should be capable of running ~15 minutes without stopping.
