Today is the annual Langley 7. This is a race on roads and pavements that starts and finishes in Langley village. It is, as the name suggests, about 7 miles and is 'challenging' due to the height gain (remember that the hills are your friends). It starts about 2.00pm.
The event is very friendly (organised by Macc Harriers). The cakes afterwards are really good.
All net proceeds go to East Cheshire Hospice.
If you are not keen to run but would like to help then the race always needs volunteers.
The club are really struggling to find help this year - we need 3-4 people to help serve tea/cake/coffee and also people to marshal the course. You would be tied up from about 1.00pm - 4.00pm latest. Contact neil.gunn@gmail.com if you can help.
More info to follow.
