Today saw the 12th running of the Macclesfield Half Marathon and 2nd running of the 5K.
We were once again lucky with the weather - a bright and slightly breezy day saw 581 finishers in the half marathon and 97 in the 5k - sadly numbers were down on last year despite increased publicity (this also means that the charitable donation will be lower this year).
The Run England team played a MASSIVE part in the event through helping with entries, course marshaling, results spotting, catering, baking and participating. A BIG thank you to all of you that helped in any way!
Jane (2h18m00s) and Karen (2h30m18s) ran the half marathon (both chip times).
Sarah (30m44s), Leah (29m48s) and Jordan (24m06s) ran the 5k (all gun times).
The feedback via email and FACEBOOK has been good so far so I think we put on a good race!
