The weather started off pretty abysmal and at 9.30 the heavens opened but by race start at 10.00am it had cleared a lot (only a very light drizzle). Conditions underfoot were very muddy in places and trail shoes were definitely needed.
The whole event was a great success for the group (in some cases this is the first race ever done - and hopefully not the last).
Note: Chip time is the time from running across the start time to crossing the finish line based on the chip in the number (this is always less than gun time which is measured when the start gun goes off). Chip poistion is your finish position based on chip time. Age cat position is shown as your position in your age category (eg Oliver was 192nd out of 261 men under 40 years old) and age catgeory shows which category you raced in.
