Every year Macc Harriers host the 'Boxing Day Handicap'. This is a very sociable event for club members with race HQ in the St Dunstan pub in Langley. It starts at 10.00 or 10.30 (to be confirmed).
The route is on road, is about 4 miles but is hilly (we might do it one Saturday).
The idea is that you predict your own finish time (eg 30 mins, 40 mins) and the person who is closest to their own estimated time wins the event - so it is not the fastest person who wins!
There is one additional rule - no watches allowed!
Afterwards there is soup and sandwiches etc provided by the club.
This is a good way to shake off the Christmas dinner...and could be a good thing to do if you missed the Tatton Yule Yomp.

A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers E Group informed about our past and future runs. We tend to run at a pace of 10 - 12 min/mile for about 4-5 miles. If you are interested in joining the group please contact group leaders Wendy Boardman (wendyboardman77@googlemail.com) or Jenny Airey (jenfa23@gmail.com) Ideally new members should be capable of running ~15 minutes without stopping.
