Saturday 6th April

The start
Today was something a little bit different and challenging - a run around Rudyard Lake with Alison as Group Leader. We had superb conditions with clear blue sky and good solid ground underfoot. The turnout was brilliant (18 runners including new group member Margaret). The route took us clockwise around the lake - a distance of about 4.5 miles but several group members did almost 5 miles with lots of 'loop-back'. There was some very good running today, especially along the return leg of the route - we continue to be impressed by the progress that you are all making (just think back 6 months at what you were doing!)

Some group members had to return home but a good number stayed for a welcome tea/coffee/chocolate in the cafe.

A good run!
