Saturday 17th November

Before the start
Today we met at 9.00am in the Clough Bank Car Park (off Grimshaw Lane, Bollington) for a route around the Middlewood Way and canal (in fact we did the CAFOD route in reverse with an optional 'shorter run' for some).

The turnout was good (14 runners) but sadly a few group members are 'injured' - hopefully they will be back soon.

One sub-group ran about 4.5 miles (the longest ever run in some cases) and the rest did a slightly shorter 3.5 miles. The longer route took 58m50s which is still (despite the mud) much faster than we did it a year ago - progress is being made.

It was a bit damp and muddy today and everyone experienced wet feet and a bit of slipping and sliding (trail shoes are being debated as the shoe choice for the rest of the winter!).

I am so impressed that everyone is pushing their own limits and also helping other group members - what a great feeling to progress as a group.

Have a good week!
