Saturday 7th March - Macclesfield Forest
This week we met at the lay-by near the Leather Smithy to run a circular route around Macclesfield Forest. Honesty was the best policy - we (I) hadn't run the route before and knew there was an incline...just not to the extent we faced! However, once up, we got to appreciate beautiful views of the Peak District including the Cat and Fiddle and Shutlingsloe. We headed back down through the forest and covered 4.2 miles in total.
