A large number of the C25K Course 4 graduates have entered the Macclesfield Half Marathon 5k.
There route is all road (and track) based, and it's a really god opportunity to run with lots of support along the way from marshals and the crowd.
Plus...there is bling!
If you are interested, the link to enter is: http://www.macc-half.co.uk/
A blog to keep the members of Macclesfield Harriers E Group informed about our past and future runs. We tend to run at a pace of 10 - 12 min/mile for about 4-5 miles. If you are interested in joining the group please contact group leaders Wendy Boardman (wendyboardman77@googlemail.com) or Jenny Airey (jenfa23@gmail.com) Ideally new members should be capable of running ~15 minutes without stopping.

Sunday 18th September - English Half Marathon 10K
This week, some of E Group went to run the EHM 10K. Fun was had by all and from the looks of the weather, it was perfect conditions for running 10K.
Yvonne H also went to run Stockport 10K - well done!

Saturday 17th September - Buzzard Run
13 E Group met this week at the Leisure Centre to car share to the start of Dangerous Daves Special Buzzard Run. The pictures give it away, it was a beautiful morning to run along the roads, fields, down hills, through dappled woodland, uphills and plenty of opportunities to spot several buzzards! DD taught us all how to identify the call of a buzzard (and to stop cracking if you want to see any!).
Great running today everyone, well done.
See you next week.

Saturday 11th September 2016 - Gawsworth 10K
This morning saw many E Group members run the Gawsworth 10K. Always a popular run (as it's a club race) and a mostly flat (ish) route.
Good to see a good turn out and smiles on faces whilst running in warm conditions.
Well done everyone!

Saturday 10th September - Hilly Bolly
This week, 15 E Group met at the Skate Park in Bollington to run a mixture of the canal, local paths and the Middlewood Way. We had a really good turn out this week and there were a few people who returned having not run much over the summer which was lovely.
There were some enjoyable hill reps which are always a challenge at the time but hill running is a great way to improve your overall fitness, leg strength and breathing.

Saturday 3rd September - Prestbury Lollipop Speed Work
LThis week, 21 E Group members met at the Riverside Car Park in Tytherington to run a Twisted Prestbury Lollipop with some speed work and hills added for good measure.
The Bollin Valley is a really good place to work on pace and speed and this was the intention of Damien's session. There are also a few good points to add in some hill work to build strength and confidence when running up hill.
Damien also added some Donkey's and Pyramids to support the speed work.
