D GROUP

Macclesfield Harriers has several running groups - each group runs at a particular pace range and distance. The groups ar A, B, C, D, E with the A group being the 'elite athletes'.

As E group members improve (and you will!) you will want to progress through the groups and so the natural progression is to D group.

D group run at 8m30s-10m00s/mile for 4-6 miles - slightly faster and longer than E group.

When you feel ready why not try a D group session (why not do this with other people from E group). You can run in both E & D groups - you do not have to stop running with E when you try D Group.

D Group run on Wed and Friday evenings at 6.30pm from the Leisure Centre overflow car park and also on Saturday mornings at 9.00am (Various locations - check the BLOG for details).
