Saturday 10th January - Buxton Road Lollipop

The start
At 7.00am the wind was howling and the rain was lashing down ... but 18 E group runners braved the thought of a soaking and put their shoes on...and by 9.00am the weather was fine again (we were very lucky). Welcome to two new group members - Louise (Brown!) and Kate.

The route today was just under 4 miles (route below) with a fair amount of mud (thick mud, wet mud, slippy mud ... all types of mud). There were some new shoes on display ... they did not look quite so clean at the end!

The looping back was excellent - well done. We all enjoyed going 'along' Buxton Road (Jenny has redefined the word 'along' so it now includes any form of uphill slope.... ;-) ).

Well done everybody ... and a good 'post run' coffee at the Tytherington Club.

See you at the track for the Mixed Ability Relay next week...

Jenny & Cheryl & Neil

Jenny in 'teacher mode'

... and off they go.

Garmins at the ready ...

Heather back after that 'Tatton incident'...

Early loop-back from Charlie, Fi and Kate

... and back up the hill

Ah ... mud...

... and more mud (nearly lost Jo)

... and a bit more mud...

The rain held off...

A good group out today (Louise B v1 and Cheryl at the front)

Still a bit of mud...

yes, more mud.

Slippery but nobody fell over

Sue - that smile never goes away...

The final 800m

... and one last hill

Almost back (still looping...)

New shoes...not so new now!
