Saturday 29th November - Street-O - Event 3

This morning, 30 eager runners arrived at The Church House car park to partake in Street-O Round Three. With teams decided and guidelines provided, the teams set out to run around Sutton & Langley. Commiserations to the team who came in last were (Heather C, Julie, Jo P and Heather A  - who collected their wooden spoons, and well done to Neil who won...with two teams close behind.

It was really nice to see so many people trying something different this morning and I think from the feedback it was enjoyed by all. Neil is busy planning when the next event will be, if you are thinking that its something you would like to help organise, please let him know.

Saturday 22nd November - the Dawn Chorus

Meeting place
A group of 20 brave runners turned out for Dawn's 'surprise' this morning on a mild, but slightly damp & dreary morning.

Meeting at Clough Bank, after a warm up led by Harry & a briefing, we headed off along the Middlewood Way to Tytherington meeting D group going the opposite way on the silk road bridge.

After a Tytherington loop around Rugby Drive we stopped at the grassy area for a speed pyramid.  A couple of people nursing injuries took it steadily, but a good effort was made by everyone to push themselves in terms of speed today.
We did 15 seconds, 30, 45, 60, 45, 30 and   eeeerm 25 (as there was a little bit of confusion, whilst taking photographs - sorry everyone!)  We then headed back along the Middlewood Way to Clough Bank again high-fiving D group on their way back.  This was a 3.6 mile route but was increased to just over 4 miles including the pyramid.  Great effort everyone - I hope you're not too stiff tomorrow!
