Saturday 8th November - Kerridge Surprise

Well the surprise this week was that after a leader chat on Friday evening following a day of heavy rain, we had a route planned plus two back ups. With a quick group consultation, we decided to head to the highest point in Bollington to avoid the waterlogged fields and muddy paths. A great decision!

We ran to the base of White Nancy and then walked to the top to see the beautiful poppies that had been painted for Remembrance Sunday. We moved quickly as it was breezy and we knew the rain was heading over. We ran along the ridge, up Lidgetts Lane, down the secret steps and conveniently to the top of Neil's hill. Down we went and back up...there was a lot of love for the hill rep at the end of the run! We then headed back down past the cottages to the main road.

A tough but fantastic run this morning, and best of all....the rain started at 10:15 just as we all jumped into the cars and headed for coffee.

Thank you to Abi and Wendy who managed to get some great photos.
