Saturday 9th August - Reverse CAFOD

At the start
Today we had a good turnout of 15 runners, including 2 new members, Georgina and Rippon, for the reverse CAFOD route up the Middlewood Way to Adlington Road and back down the canal path as far as Tinker's Clough and back along the Middlewood to the viaduct.

The group were up for a couple of challenges! We did 'donkeys' on the Middlewood to learn what it feels like to increase our speed in short bursts. At the end of the run we gathered at the end of the viaduct and sprinted along the length of the viaduct, just to see how it feels to put in a sprint finish! You never know when you might need one!

A lovely run, and we completed 4.6 miles, with some excellent running by the group members. Thanks to Jenny and Wendy B for co-leading.
