Saturday 31st May - Congleton Park Run with C25K group

Before the start

Wonderful weather (started cold then warmed up) for a Parkrun and lots of new E group members turned out for their first 'timed event'.

Some EXCELLENT running (and lots of PBs as well) - it is amazing how new runners get caught up in discussions about shoes, clothes, times, pace etc!

.. and yes, we had cake and coffee afterwards...

Saturday 24th May - CAFOD cat and mouse

The start

13 runners out today for a 'cat and mouse' run based on the CAFOD route. We managed to miss the rain as well. Some very good (and faster than usual) running today by both groups - well done. I think that the 'mice' had the upper hand on this occasion.

The session was followed up by lots of cake & tea at Kathryn's new house (thanks Kathryn).

Format – 2 hour Orienteering Score Event on public footpaths using clue sheets with pen. Map provided.
Pairs or individuals. Juniors accompanied by an adult.

Saturday 17th May - the Scruffy Triangle

The Start

Sun, sun, sun - what a lovely day for a run. We saw buzzards, heron (lots), pheasants & and geese. A gentle (apparently a bit fast) run around Alderley Park and 'Scruffy Hill' - some good running, good hill reps, good banter and VERY good cakes... we ran about 4 miles and it was lovely!
