Saturday 29th March - Rudyard Lake

Once the  mist cleared this morning, we ran 4-5 miles with loop backs, around the picturesque Rudyard Lake.
It was a hilly start, with plenty of muddy parts, which had not seen the warmer weather. One of the runners was jumping for joy while another was avoiding it! Once the hill start was out of the way, it was a gentler run back downhill and along the steam railway track.
We finished with a good stretch  and enjoyed a well earned hot drink and a cake. Well done to all 10 runners adding miles to those shoes.

Friday 28th March - Harriers AGM, Social & Presentation evening

Bollington Arts Centre
The Annual General Meeting and Senior Awards Presentation evening plus club 'social' will be on Friday 28th March from 7.00pm until 11.00pm in the Bollington Arts Centre.

The AGM part of the evening is usually kept 'short and sweet' and is followed by the award presentations and a chance to mix with fellow Harriers. Food is provided by the club (meat and veg options plus a pudding) but you do need to buy your own drinks. It is a good and friendly evening.

Sadly Alison and I are not there are we are on holiday that week.

I hope a few of the group can make it!

Saturday 22nd March - Prestbury Lollipop Extended

Gemma Moorhouse was group leader this week, with "dangerous" Dave Jackson as her wingman.

9  smiling members ran today, in cold, sunny and windy conditions.
After the warm up, we agreed to run along the Bollin Valley to Prestbury with the option of a straight "loop" back to the car park, or take a golf course diversion.

Mud was in favour today, with all nine completing the extended "pop" and an impressive 4.6 miles, including loop backs.

Great work all.

Best of luck to our team members competing in half marathons tomorrow!

Saturday 15th March - Kerridge and Middlewood Loop

The start
Today 15 group members came out on a cool but dry day. Today's session was a combination of Middlewood Way, Canal, tracks with a hill-rep and a timed kilometre thrown in for good measure.

As this was the week before the Wilmslow Half Marathon a few people are on their 'taper week' so took it steady but there was some very good running (especially on the timed kilometre).

A post-run debrief (and long discussion about running tops, shoes and Garmin watches) took place in the Waterside Cafe.

Well done,

Neil
